India - Updated Requirements for LED Lamps

December 1, 2020 By Kongpob Rattanakornkun, India regulatory program expert According to Indian requirements for LED lamps, the updated requirements regarding the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) labeling program and Compulsory Registration Order (CRO) are mandatory. Please refer to the update requirement of each program as follows:   Compulsory Registration Order According to the notification in the official Gazette on Sept. 16, 2020, ( Link here ), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) announced the extension of the implementation timeline of product categories (including LED lamps) for CRO - Phase IV to April 1, 2021.     Energy Efficiency Labeling Program On Sept. 24, 2020, BEE has issued the Important Instruction for all LED lamp manufacturer and permittee. Please refer the summary details as below. Amendment Notification under clause (a) of Section 14 of the EC Act for self-ballast LED lamp was notified vide S.O. 2178 (E). You can...

Life of lamps of automobiles

Typical car headlights typically last somewhere between 500 and 1,000 hours, but there are a lot of different factors at work. Different types of headlights have different life expediencies, so halogen, xenon, and other types can't be expected to burn out at the same rate. Some replacement halogen bulbs are also significantly brighter than the OEM bulbs, and that increase in brightness usually translates to shorter lifespans. Certain manufacturing defects and installation problems can also drastically shorten the operational lifespan of a headlight bulb as well. JUMP TO A SECTION How Long Should Headlights Last? The difference between the various systems lies in the type of catalyst used to create the polymer, but the final polymer properties are similar. WHAT IS REACTION INJECTION MOLDING? Reaction injection molding  (RIM) is a thermoset plastic molding technique where two liquid reactants – an isocyanate component and a polyol resin mixture – are injected into a metal mold at relatively high temperatures and pressure. The mold is composed of two halves that are separated once the material reaction has taken place inside. Reaction time is typically just minutes long, making for more efficie...

Well Nut

WELL NUT advantages: Seals out ambient moisture Muffles noise Dampens vibrations and shock Isolates electrical conductivity Isolates galvanic corrosion between dissimilar assembled components Snap in version can be pre-attached to parent material Available in custom materials to meet specific application requirements Specifications: Body Material: Chloroprene and EPDM Nut Material: Brass Thread Class: 2B (in); 6H (mm) +1-978-649-6201 sales@belmetric.com   EPDM + Brass Insert "Well" Nut Well Nuts have a flange on one end with a long shank that is inserted into a hole. During install the tightening of the bolt causes the shank to bulge and expand, securing it in place. Commonly used for applications where a weather resistant seal is needed. Also used for blind hole applications. Also known as as a Rawl nut, Rawlnut, or a rubber rivet nut A   well nut   is a   blind rivet -like type of   fastener   used to blindly fasten a piece (much like a   molly bolt ...
